SALT LAKE CITY -– February 14, 2025 – BioUtah, Utah’s trade association dedicated to the life sciences community, in partnership with the University of Utah’s Technology Licensing Office, today released a robust agenda for the 2025 Entrepreneur & Investor Life Sciences (E&I Summit) sponsored by Wilson Sonsini. The E&I Summit will be held March 13 at the Sheraton Hotel in Salt Lake City, followed by a ski day at Snowbird Ski Resort on March 14.

The upcoming summit will showcase a diverse lineup of nationally acclaimed speakers and thought-provoking sessions. Event attendees will share ideas, gain valuable insights, and enjoy networking opportunities that connect healthcare innovators with the world of capital.
Monica DiCenso, managing director and head of global investment opportunities group at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, will shed light on the investment environment and outlook for the life sciences industry.
Earl “Eb” Bright, President of Exploramed and director of intellectual property policy at the Stanford Mussallem Center for Biodesign will take a deep dive into the promise and perils of being an entrepreneur.
“Summit-goers will learn about the current state of investment in life sciences,” said Kelvyn Cullimore, president and CEO of BioUtah. “It’s a must attend for any life sciences company raising funds or contemplating doing so.”
Also taking center stage will be top-notch CEOs of Utah life sciences companies who will share their well-honed perspectives on building a life sciences company. Principals from national venture capital firms as well as leaders of Utah’s local investment community will discuss what it takes for early-stage companies to win over investors.

The E&I Summit will once again hold its popular Pitch Competition where life sciences companies present their innovations to a slate of seasoned judges. Presentations will be categorized into several shark tank-like groups, such as medical devices/diagnostics; pharmaceuticals/therapeutics and; biotechnology/digital health. The winner of each competition will receive a cash prize, along with additional awards and recognition. Information on all applicant companies will soon be available on the E&I Summit website.
